Contribute to the Never-ending Scrolling Story written by 100s of students and staff across the University. This would be a great way to kick start your stamp collection and get your first entry into the prize draw!

FLASH FICTION WRITING WORKSHOP

The first of two Flash Fiction Writing Workshops. This event will be supported by a colleague from the University’s English Department. Come along to the Library with your creative juices flowing and you may just write an albeit short but outstanding literary masterpiece. Absolutely no writing experience required! All written works will have the opportunity to be featured on the Read at Leicester website!

DIGITAL DICKENS

Wrap yourself up warm, grab a hot chocolate and huddle around the crackling digital fire to hear and read some of our most loved Christmas readings. Stories and speakers will be on hand to entertain you but if you would like to speak yourself please feel free to bring along a reading you might like to share. The more the merrier! Christmas jumpers are optional, yet encouraged!

This month we capturing the thoughts and feelings of our students about representation by creating a zine that will be published online. During this event you can learn how to use images, drawings, words and collages to express what representation means to you. If you have any old magazines or newspapers, bring them along with you.

HOMELESS OUTREACH BOOK DRIVE

Last year we collected 1,000 books for a local homeless shelter, The Bridge. In essence through everyone’s generous contributions we built an entire library. Our aim for 2019 is to contribute even more books and replenish their stock, so bring along all your interesting reads and contribute to this excellent project!
