Represent is the campaign the Library is running this year to help diversify our collections.
It’s important to us that our collections represent the incredible range of diverse voices of our students, staff and local population. We are keen to include more works by underrepresented voices in the Library and are asking you to recommend titles for us to purchase. These could include (but are not limited to) titles written by or about race, gender, sexuality, social class, mental health, disabilities and learning difficulties.
Complete one of our ‘Represent’ postcards in the Reading Zone on the Library’s Ground Floor or complete our online form to give us your recommendations and make a difference to our collection. We’ve had over 60 titles recommended by students so far. Take a look at titles we have already purchased by searching ‘readatleicester’ on library search or check out our online reading list.
